The Shree Adibasi Nawa Janajati Conservation and Upliftment Center was established in 2063 BS. It is a non-governmental, non-profit and non-political organization. The purpose of establishing this organization is to preserve and preserve the original, religious, dress, way of life, culture and traditions of the caste. At the same time, to increase the status of women and children in the Himalayan Nawa region, to develop the tourism sector and skill-training in the local community, to support the Himali Nava and their families.

The Nawa castes have been living in the remote hilly Himalayan region of the Arun River from the northern part of Sankhuwasabha, a high mountainous district in Nepal since time immemorial. Here the word nawa is a combination of na and va of nawa language. According to the Tibetan language, “na” means “nadong (forest)” and “wa” means inhabitant. They have been living in the northern part of Sankhuwasabha district of Nepal since time immemorial as the custodians of the forest.

The main purpose of this organization

  • To provide basic education to orphans and children of ordinary families and to provide vocational training to older children who do not have the opportunity to go to school.
  • To build safe infrastructure and small medical clinics and to help improve local infrastructure including bridges.
  • To develop sports tourism.
  • To protect the natural environment in the mountainous region for a sustainable future.
